Your perfect wand by birthdate: Nov 25 - Dec 23

​Wandlore and other cultural tradition say you might just have the perfect wand based on the day that you were born. If you were born between November 25 and December 23, here are the magical properties associated with those dates.

Wand Wood: Elder/Cedar
Elder is great for protection and general positive magic. Because this wood isn't available outside of its native area, we use an American wood with similar properties: cedar.

Wand Core: Phoenix feather and mandrake root
Cores aren't assigned by birthdate, but we have found that phoenix feather and mandrake root are both popular pairs.

Birthstone: Topaz/Turquoise
November's stone is topaz. Topaz is associated with communication and good luck.
December's stone is turquoise. Turquoise is associated with balance and strength.

Zodiac Symbol: Sagittarius/Capricorn
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) is often characterized as optimistic and wise.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) is often characterized as patient and practical.

Element: Fire/Earth
Sagittarius is fire; Capricorn is earth.

Animal Totem: Owl
An owl is honest but restless.
