Your perfect wand by birthdate: Aug 5 - SepT 1

​Wandlore and other cultural tradition say you might just have the perfect wand based on the day that you were born. If you were born between August 5 and September 1, here are the magical properties associated with those dates.

Wand Wood: Hazel / Linden
Because hazelwood isn't available to us in wand-sized pieces, we use an American wood with similar properties: linden. Linden is great for love and beauty magic.

Wand Core: Phoenix feather and dragon tooth
Cores aren't assigned by birthdate, but we have found that phoenix feather is the most popular pair and dragon also does well.

Birthstone: Peridot / Sapphire
August's stone is peridot. Peridot is associated with stress relief and calming anger.
September's stone is Sapphire. Sapphire is associated with creativity and inner peace.

Zodiac Symbol: Leo / Virgo
Leo (July 23-August 22) is often characterized as confident and loyal.
Virgo (August 23-September 22) is often characterized as practical and intelligent.

Element: Fire / Earth
Leo is a fire element; Virgo is earth.

Animal Totem: Bear
A bear is thoughtful and practical.
